There are concerns that Japan will face difficult societal problems due to its declining population and the advent of a super-aging citizenry. To realize a sustainable and truly prosperous society, we must continue to develop innovative technologies. Healthcare is no exception, and technological innovations are needed to deliver safe and more effective therapies at the right cost for all patients.
Our laboratory was established in April 2017 with the goals of clarifying disease-related mechanisms and developing new treatments from the perspective of regenerative medicine. Numerous students and investigators from diverse academic backgrounds enjoy doing their research in our lab. I hope that many more students and young researchers will be interested in our studies and contribute to our achievements.
